The Creative Center at University Settlement Training Institute for Artists and Administrators in Creative Aging

 For the second year in a row, this Institute will focus on the growing field of creative aging and will provide artists, as well as arts, senior center and nursing home administrators both a theoretical and didactic approach to implementing, sustaining and evaluating high quality arts programming in a variety of settings serving older adults, from senior centers to long term residential settings for the frail elderly.

Caring for Caregivers

This workshop will be led by Stuart Pimsler and Suzanne Costello of the Sturat Pimsler Dance and Theatre. It is for artists from all disciplines and caregivers from all fields and will explore the connection between healthcare and creative expression.

Smithsonian Encore Choral Holiday Concert

Free Admission, Encore Chorale, the nation’s largest choral program for older adults, will present our Smithsonian Encore Chorale in a Holiday Concert. These 135 talented singers, ages 55+, will perform a concert consisting mainly of secular holiday tunes including Jingle Bells Hallelujah,a truly

An Evening of Dance and Music

Dancers and musicians from Nancy Havlik’s Dance Performance Group are joined by dancers from Quicksilver, Arts for the Aging’s Senior Improvisational Dance Troupe.  Tickets are available at the door; $15 suggested donation.
