As our population ages, older adults are being diagnosed with Alzheimer's and other cognitive disabilities at an increasing rate. On Saturday a very dear friend of ours passed away after a brave, 14 year fight with prostate cancer. He died peacefully at his Kensington, Maryland home surrounded by his loving family and friends. A beautiful memorial service was held on Monday.

Today at a conference at the foot of the Capital, StoryCorps announced the launch of StoryCorps Historias, a new initiative recording the lives of Latinos across America.
