Encore Chorale, the nation’s largest choral singing program for adults age 55+, announces the Fall 2014 season.  Thirteen chorales, located in Northern Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC will rehearse weekly for 15 weeks in preparation for large, free community concerts in venues such as the Cultural Arts Center in Silver Spring, MD, the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, DC, and the Pascal Center for Performing Arts in Arnold, MD.  The culminating event of the Fall season will be on December 23rd - our 7th annual performance, with more than 200 Encore singers, at The Kennedy Center. New this Fall is a second Smithsonian Encore Chorale, which will rehearse on Wednesday evenings.  This is the first chorale with an evening rehearsal schedule, as Encore expands to include older singers who are still in the workforce or those who otherwise cannot attend a daytime rehearsal.
